How to Choose Your Best Clothing Colors

Nearly everybody is concerned about looking his or her best, which is why so much time is spent choosing hairstyles, accessories and clothing, but no matter how good the cut of your suit or the line of your dress, you won't look your best without wearing flattering clothing colors. By choosing your best clothing colors, you can make your skin glow, your eyes sparkle and your entire look appear more pulled together. This involves working with your hair color, testing your underlying skin tone, comparing colors against your skin and hair, getting a professional color analysis, or wearing monochromatic colors for impact. The following steps will show you how to choose your best clothing colours
Steps
1.Choose the right colors for your hair color.
Blondes look great in warm and bright shades such as yellows, oranges and rusts, as well as tans and taupes.
Brunettes can wear a wide variety of colors, including greens, blues, oranges, chocolate browns and pinks.
Redheads look best in browns and oranges, as well as taupes, ivories and greens.
Those with gray hair will look good in bright colors such as red, rose, plum, purples and berry, and jewel tones such as bright blues, clear greens and bold golds. Black and a real navy blue look good, but stay away from grays and pastels, beiges and tans. In general, choose bold, bright colors to wear near your face.
2. Test your underlying skin color. Your underlying skin tone plays a large part in determining what colors suit you well.
Pinch the skin on your earlobe, the back of your hand or the tip of your finger. The skin color you see for the following few seconds is your underlying skin color.
If you see blue, pink, red-violet or rosy tones, you'll look best in cool colors.
If you see peach, golden, bright warm red or coral tones, warm colors are your best choices.
3. Compare a number of colors against your skin and hair.
Choose a variety of different colored fabrics. You want to select some that are warm, cool, muted, dark, light, and clear so you can test each against your skin and hair.
In a space that is well lit by natural light, stand in front of a mirror and hold the colors to your face one by one.
Select the colors that make you look healthy, your eyes sparkle and your skin glow.
Discard the colors that make you look sallow, washed-out, tired, pale or otherwise unhealthy.
4. Get a professional color analysis. If you can't figure out your best clothing colors yourself, seek professional advice. You can do this by making an appointment with a professional image consultant. He or she will instruct you on what colors flatter you, and give you a palette of appropriate colors you can take with you when you go clothes shopping.
5. Try to choose the colour that goes with your personality.
 Every colour means something.
Red - cool, stubborn, loves horror or romance and popular
Blue - easy going, kind, peaceful, patient, and occasionally shy
Green - likes to be alone, wonders a lot, healthy, and tomboyish
Wear colors that give you a monochromatic look. A monochromatic or single-toned look is best achieved by choosing colors in the same shade as your hair.
Tips
Colours are not a big deal so don't be so sad and mad if you didn't find the color that suits you !
If your personality suits one of the colors but you don't like that colour you don't have to like it.

Shop smart and put together outfits that look good.

1.Weed out your wardrobe.
Check your closet for garments that are out of style. If you have the space, pack them away in storage bins in case the trend ever returns.never mind their worth*smiles
Dispose of pieces that are in poor condition.
2.Gravitate toward basics over trends. Trends come and go, but classic basics stick around. Focus on keeping your basics well-stocked, and only weave in a few interesting trendy pieces at a time.
3.Look at designs over brands. Choose clothing based on how it looks rather than who made it. Getting too hung up on brand names can quickly trap you into buying clothes that do not look good simply for the sake of having the name.have been a victim of this, last year i got a perfume of a particular brand(name witheld)unfortunately for me this year i didn't get the same perfume again, i had to go for another one made by the same brand. At the end of the day i was so much disappointed.so it is better to choose a design or particular a taste over a brand.
4.Try before you buy.
Try on clothes in a dressing room before you purchase them. Study yourself in the dressing room’s full-length mirror until you have a clear opinion of how it looks.
Take along a fashion-conscious friend whose style you trust when you go shopping. When left to themselves, some individuals can talk themselves into—or out of—just about anything. Your friend can provide you with a second opinion on the clothes you try on.
5. Keep your style balanced.
Avoid wearing too many trends at once. Mix one trendy piece into an outfit composed of basics.
Avoid mixing bold patterns. For instance, do not wear a large polka dot print blouse with a plaid skirt. Bold patterns clash when paired together.
If you must mix patterns, mix a subtle, muted pattern with a bolder one. For example, you could wear a floral print blouse with light pinstripe pants.
6. Avoid over-accessorizing. Do not have too many layers of accessories. Stick with one or two key accessories, though i know it is a big girl and big boy's trait but you've got to avoid it.

Have a great week ahead!

How to Avoid Becoming a Fashion Victim

A fashion victim is an individual who obeys fads and trends without any consideration for how they look in the trendy pieces. Not every trend looks good on every person, and no one can successfully pull off every trend. In order to avoid becoming a fashion victim, you must learn to develop your own sense of style, and you must also accept that some clothes look good on you while others do not.
#DressforYourself
Find clothing that works with your figure and your personal tastes.
1. Shop for styles you like. Everyone has different tastes. If the latest trend does not suit yours, do not feel obligated to obey it.
2. Accept your body. Everyone has imperfections. Learn to accept yours so you know how to work around them.
Know your problem areas and look for ways to mask them. As a general rule, balance out thicker parts of your body by looking for clothing that draws the eye to thinner parts of your body.
Avoid clothing that highlights your problem areas. A frilly-tiered skirt may look nice on a thin woman with a rectangular body type, but it will only draw unwanted attention to the legs of a pear shaped woman with larger thighs. Additionally, a skin-tight dress on the thin woman might look awkward as opposed to the same dress on the pear shaped woman. There are clothes that work for everybody, but not everybody can "pull off" certain clothes.
3. Know your sizes. Take your precise measurements and compare them against a brand or store’s sizing chart.
Measure your bust by wrapping a taut tape measure around the widest part of your bust.
Measure your waist by wrapping a taut tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist. This area, called your “natural waist,” is usually right below your bust.
Measure your hips by wrapping a taut tape measure around the thickest part of your hips.(Adapted 4rm wikihow)
4. Set a budget.
Look over your monthly finances to determine how much money you can afford to spend when you go out shopping.
Stick to your budget. Doing so will help you avoid impulse buys and focus on buying only the clothes that look best.
Leave your credit card and ATM card at home if you lack the self-discipline to limit yourself. Carry a set amount of cash.
Wear Your Clothes Well.

Be trending in your 20s.

Hey buddies.....i was looking for how to sparkle you up this weekend so i got stucked on how to look trendy in your 20s.

It seems that there’s an abundance of advice for the older gent on how to dress for their age but younger men are far more left to their own devices. This is apparently because there is an assumption that young people simply know how to dress, without advice from anyone! However, while this is complimentary, a few tips surely wouldn’t go amiss? If you would like a bit of gentle guidance on how to look great in your twenties, read on.*smiles

1. Develop your personal style. During your twenties, you have the freedom to experiment with different trends. You can take inspiration from minimal, vintage, military or preppy looks - the list is endless. Try different styles and see which you think suits you best, and more importantly, what you feel comfortable and confident in. Have fun, and when you settle on a look that you love, wear you own personal style with confidence, as that is the most attractive thing about it.
2. Get the right size. Make sure your clothes are a good fit never mind what people say about your size , people are always negative. please! In your twenties there is no excuse ill fitting clothing and it isn’t flattering to see people in items that they have out-grown in their teens, or that leave enough room for another person. It’s time to consider some tailored items (i know most nigerians don't appreciate it anymore*smiles)and these will only look good if they fit correctly. Get measured up for the best results.
3. Have key items. There are a few key items that i expect everyone should have in their wardrobe by their twenties. Invest in some good jeans, a tailored blazer and a white shirt as absolute basics that will stand the test of time.(Always available at EFX COUTURE)
4. Avoid fads. Please leave the over-sized jeans for the teenagers, your look should be more refined by now. Slogan t-shirts are also best left behind, as is loud clothing covered in obvious logos. Am sorry to say this; i think all dose new trending t-shirts that are kinda invogue nowadays aren't the best. I mean t-shirts like;I facebooked your mum, why always me?don't tell ♍ mom...e.t.c. Honestly, am not tryin to be dramatic about those t-shirts it's jes that;
Now that you’re in your twenties it’s time to find your own style and shine!

TIPS ON HOW TO LOOK FABOULOUS DURING RAINY SEASON

You have gotten used to the scorching heat these past months so the unexpected drench at May’s end may have been exceedingly refreshing.
With a tropical climate, you'd think it would be a breeze to put together an outfit.
The monsoon seems to always sneak up on us, leaving us bewildered and shivering in the cold. And then there are the few weeks before the rainy season truly settles in when you’ll find the skies going from rainy to sunshiny and back again just about every hour. So you could be dressing for the heat and trembling in the chill—or dressing for the cold and wet and broiling in your skin.
Still, with some good choices and a c'est la vie attitude toward the weather’s mood swings, you can look fabulous in both the oppressive heat or torrential rain. (Though it should be mentioned that checking out the weather report before you suit up is always a good practice.

Here a few things to help you on those days when Mother Nature can't seem to make up her mind (or even those extremely warm days)
»1. Boots, Wellies, and Crocs. You may have said goodbye to your favorite flip-flops,  but this season is the perfect excuse to say hello to fabulous boots! Boots and Wellies are the perfect way to conceal your legs from the mud splatter and horrendous Manila floods.
2. Beanies. Forget about trucker and straw hats. This season is the beanie's time to shine! It’s also the least expensive way to keep your heads warm during the rain. You can even get away with a bad hair day only by topping your head with the single.
3. Leggings and hosiery. If you’re one of those girls who can’t seem to part with their cut-offs and denim skirts, fret not; there’s still hope for you. If you insist on wearing your short skirts and dresses, then better keep your legs protected with leggings and hosiery. Showing off your legs in the summer is sexy, but showing off your legs AND your goosebumps during the rainy season is not.LOL*just saying
4. Cropped jeans, boyfriend jeans, or capris. In this torrential weather, you’ll never know when you have to tread the flood-ridden streets of Manila. Because full-length jeans tend to get heavy when wet, it’s better for you to avoid wearing them during the rain. You can, however, roll up your cuffs or opt for cropped jeans or capris. They’re fun, functional, and chic if worn with the right heels or ankle boots. 5. Three-fourths and long-sleeved tops. Why sacrifice flair for functionality when you can have both? Not only do these tops shed 10 lbs from your overall look, they also keep your arms warm and protected during the rains. Roll or scrunch up the sleeves when it’s getting warmer and roll them back down again when the weather feels nippy. Whatever your style preference may be, three-fourths and long sleeves are the way to go this season.
6. Jackets, cardigans, and hoodies. Of course, who could survive the rainy days without at least one pair of these three? There are a lot of styles to choose from, but please, stay away from windbreakers. Opt for tailored jackets to give your look structure, cardigans to soften it, and hoodies to make it more casual and relaxed.
7. Scarves. Sure, you may laugh at people who wear scarves around their neck, but think again. A scarf can be your only protection when a heavy shower starts pouring and you are sans umbrella. A scarf, aside from being a fashionable addition to your wardrobe, can also protect you when harsh winds start blowing. Love it or hate it, you can’t deny that scarves are functional and fashionable at the same time.

8. Plastic or leather bags. Forget about canvass bags for now. Leather and plastic bags are the best totes this season because they are waterproof do not absorb water. You can even go an extra mile and start a green fashion revolution of your own and use plastic instead of leather. Some eco bags have the same lining as inflatable water accessories, making them truly water-resistant.  Not only do you get to strut around town with a fun bag, you get to help Mother Nature AND keep your
Guess i solved little out of the puzzle.*winks
There are still some fancy stuff some other dudes prefer, but the basic thing is looking magnificient, don't be so colourful.
GOOD NEWS; the above accessories are available at EFX COUTURE @affordable prices.
